Divide work into more specialized jobs

    Explanation:

For any work to be efficient, the work needs to be done by a skilled resource. Different people possess variety of skills and those skill should be properly matched to the type of work that the person do. So the work has to be divided so that it uses the special skill to perform specialized jobs.

Rely on formal hierarchy: This is a classic way of assigning work to an employee and asking him / her to report to the concern person. This does not have any proof that work will be efficient.

Narrow span of control & Central control:

Control alone cannot bring efficiency in work. Control is definitely needed.
