A small business owner is sceptical about online transactions. She is worried that information may be stolen in transmission or that the party on the other end may be a bogus one. Also, she is worried about the security of financial transactions online. What can be done to allay those fears?

    Her business could use encryption and digital certificate technologies. This way the data transmitted will be safe since it's encrypted.

    She can also use digital certification services for authenticity purposes.

    Financial transactions processed online are very safe now and shouldn't represent any problem to the store, the card user and the card issuer.
