    salvage value = $10,000

    depreciation per year = $510,000 / 6 years = $85,000

    incremental cash flow = $150,000 + $85,000 = $235,000

    payback period = $520,000 / $235,000 = 2.212 years or 2 years, 2 months and 17 days.

    2) initial investment = - $380,000

    salvage value = $20,000

    depreciation per year = $320,000 / 8 years = $40,000

    incremental cash flow = $60,000 + $40,000 = $100,000

    payback period = $380,000 / $100,000 = 3.8 years or 3 years, 9 months and 18 days.
