For a survey, a company decided to call 7 out of every 5000 people. how many people should be called in a town of 78000 people?

    This is an easy one!

    7:5000 : : x:78000

    (7) x (78000) = 5000x

    (7 x 78000) / 5000 = x

    109.2 = x

    Since they cannot call 0.2 people, we have to round it! So, 109 people!
