    The order that is followed from the top management to every lower level of management in an organisation. Every person in that chain have to follow all the rules, orders and instructions. It is a principle of Henry Fayol. The greater will be the efficiency and effectiveness of decision making process, if the chain of command is properly organised. For example; military forces represents chain of command in which orders followed from the top rank individuals to the lower rank individuals.
