    B. The object moves some distance

Explanation: Work is the product of force and distance. Work is done on an object when a force is applied on the object making it move some distance. For example; If a mason applies a force of 5 N to move a stone at a distance of 10 m, then the work done will be 50 Joules. Applying a force on an object without making it move some distance then there is no work done. Consider a boy pushing a wall really hard and the wall doesn't move even for a single inch, this means there is no work done.
