Explain why charcoal burning in the grill is a chemical change.

    A chemical change is when the substance itself changes and cannot go back into its original form. That means that the bonds broke or formed.

    When you burn charcoal, you cannot make it how it looked before you burned it. Once it burns, then turns to ash, you cannot change it and make it look like how it looked before.

    To make soemthing burn, bonds are broken to produce heat which is a change in chemical makeup
