The LD50 of aspirin is 1.5 g aspirin/kg of body weight. Calculate the lethal dosage for a 28 lb child. (1 lb. = 454 g)

    LD50 is the lethal doses of a drug that found in 50% of the test subject. If the LD50 is 1.5 g/kg, then the lethal dosage of the child would be:

    lethal dose = LD50 * weight

    lethal dose = 28lb * 0. 454kg/lb * 1.5g/kg = 19.068 grams
