The pressure exerted on a 240 ml sample of hydrogen gas at constant temperature is increased from 325 mmhg to 550 mm hg, what will be the final volume of the sample

    The final volume of the sample is calculate using boyles law formula

    that is P1V1=P2V2

    V1 = 240 ml

    P1 = 325 nmmhg

    P2=550 mmhg

    V2=?

    from the formula above V2 = P1V1/P2

    = 240ml x325mmhg / 550 mmhg = 141.8 ml
