Describe a change caused by kinetic energy as well as a change caused by potential energy.

    Two atoms colliding is an example of a change in kinetic energy. The movement of an electron away/towards the nucleus is a change in potential energy.

    Kinetic energy is an object in motion, potential energy is the potential for energy. Energy is the ability to make change, so kinetic energy is in the process of impacting something else.
