Atomic mass is the mass of atoms within an element and is about equivalent to the number of protons and neutrons in the atom (the mass number) or to the average number allowing for the relative abundances of different isotopes.

Molecular mass is the mass of molecules within an element and equivalent to finding the sum of the relative atomic masses of each constituent element multiplied by the number of atoms of that element in the molecular formula.
