Explanation:
The concentration of H + is also 0.0050 M because there is 1 mol of H + per 1 mol of HCl.
We then use - log (H+) = pH to calculate pH.
-log (0.0050 M) = pH = 2.30
pOH + pH = 14 so substitute and solve.
pOH + 2.30 = 14
pOH = 11.70
