    False.

Depending on the type of technology involved in generating power through waves water does not always have to come in contact with the turbine blade. For instance the movement of the waves can act as pistons, pumping high grade oil which in turn runs an electricity generating pump.

False, the waves hit a wall which forces the water underneath it and up behind the wall. between the wall and a cliff face there is an air gab and as the water is pushed up into the space a turbine gets turned which powers a generator making electricity
