Blood. Luminol is a chemical that comes in a spray. When it is mixed with another chemical called an oxidizing agent it produces a compound that gives off a blue glow temporarily. Blood contains an oxidizing agent, so if luminol is sprayed on blood it glows blue for about 30 seconds.
