Calculate the pH of a buffer that is 0.205M in NaHCO3 and 0.285M in Na2CO3.

    Plug in the values into this equation

    Ka = [H+][CO3 2-]/[HCO3-]

    [ ] = concentration

    then solve for [H+] if you know the Ka of HCO3-, and then take the - log[H+] to find the pH.

    The Ka of HCO3 - = 5.6x10^-11
