    The answer to your question is V2 = 3.7 l

    Explanation:

    Data

    Temperature 1 = T1 = 12 °C

    Volume 1 = V1 = 3.5 l

    Temperature 2 = T2 = 29 °C

    Volume 2 = V2 = ?

    To solve this problem use Charles' law

    V1/T1 = V2/T2

    -Solve for V2

    V2 = V1T2 / T1

    Process

    1. - Convert temperature to °K

    Temperature 1 = 12 + 273 = 285°K

    Temperature 2 = 29 + 273 = 302 °K

    2. - Substitution

    V2 = (3.5 x 302) / 285

    3. - Simplification

    V2 = 1057 / 285

    4. - Result

    V2 = 3.7 l
