Solids haveon definate shape and one definate volume, so they solids say the same. Liquids don't have a definate shape but have a definite volume, so liquids move around alot but keep the same amount of liquid in it. Gases have no definite shape or volume, so gases rise and can fill up any space as small as a in a can or as big as a mansion.
