When liquid is poured through a filter

    Depends if there is any solids that were dissolved into the liquid, or if there is a solid at all. If it is dissolved, or there is no solids, it will pas right through since the "pores" of the filter can not capture ions (but never mind that if you don't understand) / particles of the liquid. If there was a solid in the liquid, the pores would filter out the solid leaving the liquid "cleansed" or have no solids in it
