    C

    Explanation:

A chemical change is which cannot be reversed and produced entirely new products. This is outrightly different from a physical change in which no new products are formed and may simply just involve a phase change.

Now let's examine each case individually:

A is a physical change. We can physically separate the gold from the coin

B is a physical change. A puddle of water evaporating is just a case of a phase change from liquid to gaseous state. We still have the same water, the only difference is the form in which the water is

    C is a chemical change.

For paint to fade, there is supposedly an underlying chemical reaction that would have occurred to make the paint lose its original colour. This is essentially what makes paint fading a chemical change as it cannot be reversed itself. Another coat of paint would be applied which in itself would in the course of time lose its colors too

D is a physical change too, it is just a case of phase change from the liquid state to the solid state
