    B. The ocean moderates air temperatures

    Explanation:

The coastal regions of the world have a mild climate as they are near to the shores of the sea or ocean bodies and experience the flow of the sea and the land breezes that moderates the atmospheric conditions. Thus a place on a place that experiences cool summers and warm winters is due to the impacts of the winds and the ocean currents. The heat of water does not go away easily than that of the landmasses and the place located near the coasts don't have temperatures extremes do the interior of landmass as they are far away.
