What is the difference between the angle of deviation of the alpha particles closer to the nucleus and that of those that are further away? What is the reason for this difference?

    They reflect basically to the gun

    The particles heading straight into the atom are reflected almost straight back to the gun from which it was fired. The ones that are further away are not completely repelled and are only partially thrown off track. This is because the repulsion force on those particles that are farther away is less.
