mass spectrum of tertiary butyl chloride having overall mass as 92 m / Z for Cl35 and 94 m / Z for Cl37. The major peak at 57 m / Z for the removal of chlorine - 37 radical whereas other peak appear at 77 m / Z after removal of a methyl radical.

Ir of tertiary butyl chloride appear majorly at 3000 Cm^-1 whereas other small peaks appear between 1400 - 1550 Cm-1
