How many liters of water must be added to 5.40 g of sodium nitrate to create a solution that has a concentration of 3.81 g/L?

    Hey there!

    Mass of solute = 5.40 g

    Concentration = 3.81 g/L

    Volume = ?

    therefore:

    C = m / V

    3.81 = 5.40 / V

    V = 5.40 / 3.81

    V = 1.417 L
