    The answer to your question is: density = 7.92 g/ml

    Explanation:

    data

    mass of iron = 28.5 g

    volume of water = 45.5 ml

    volume of the iron = 49.1 - 45.5 = 3.6 ml

    Formula

    density = mass / volume

    density = 28.5 / 3.6 substitution

    density = 7.92 g/ml
