What is the empirical formula of the compound 75% carbon, 25% hydrogen

    Explanation:

    there is a complex way to actually figure it out, using the formula. but I use a simpler intuition. here if we take 75% to be 4. then 25% will be 1. so to fulfill the compound. 4 atoms of 1 hydrogen is necessary for the 4 atom carbon. this giving C1H4 or simply CH4
