What is the difference between the following: ions/atoms, isotopes/atoms

    ions; when atom lose or gain electron

    Explanation:

    when an atom lose electron it becomes positive ion (cation) when an atom gain electron it becomes negative ion (anion)

    isotope has same number of atomic number (proton) but different neutron number which affects mass number
