    Unsaturation number (un) or double bond equivalent (dbe) can be calculated as:

    =C+1 - (H/2)

    Where C=number of carbon atoms

    H=number of hydrogen atoms

    So here the compound is C7H6O3

    C=7

    H=6

    Presence of oxygen will not affect the DBE.

    So DBE = 7+1 - (6/2)

    =5
