An atom of oxygen has atomic of 8 and a mass number of 18. How many of each type of subatomic particle doe it contain?

    An atom of Oxygen. Contains:

    Protons = 8

    Electrons = 8

    Neutrons = Mass number - Number of protons = 18 - 8 = 10

    Neutrons = 10.
