    Formula:

    PV = nRT

    P = pressure

    V = volume

    R = general gas constant

    T = temperature

    n = number of moles

    Example:

    V = 2 L, P = 1 atm, T = 273 K, n = 0.09 mol

    PV = nRT

    R = PV/nT

    R = 1 atm. 2L / 0.09 mol. 273 K

    R = 2 L. atm / 24.57 mol. k

    R = 0.082 atm. L / mol. k
