Explain why conduction in gases is slower than conduction in liquids and solids?

    Because in gaseous state particals are present at far distances to each other.

    There are three states of matter. In solids, the molecules are stuck together, in liquids, there is little space between the molecules, and in gases, the molecules are very far apart. Therefore, conduction is slower in gases because the molecules are farther apart.
