    Al₂S₃

    2:3

    Explanation:

In this compound sulfur is non metal while aluminium is metal. The electrons are transferred from aluminium to sulfur and ionic compound is formed.

In order to make the compound overall neutral the charges must be equal so that they can cancel the effect of each other and make compound neutral.

The oxidation state of sulfur is - 2.

The oxidation sate of aluminium is + 3.

There are two aluminium atoms combine with sulfur and total charge on sulfur becomes + 6 while three sulfur atoms are combine with two atom of aluminium and becomes S⁻⁶.

    Al₂S₃

The ration of atoms of both elements are 2:3
