Why can't a lead storage battery be recharged indefinitely?

    Lead storage batteries cannot be recharged indefinitely because "the electrodes lose lead sulphate." Lead-acid batteries are considered as the oldest forms of dry cells made and its advantages include decreased battery life and chargeable abilities. Other rechargeable batteries include lithium-ion batteries.
