    As rightly said, there are seven (7) basic properties that can be measured or observed for any mineral. They are as follows:

    1. Cluster

    2. Color

    3. Streak

    4. Tenacity

    5. Hardness

    6. Crystal shape

    7. Specific gravity

    Each mineral has some distinguishing properties that in most cases can be used to determine its identity of the mineral.
