How is the movement of particles in gases different from the movement of particles in liquid?

    Particles in gases move under the concept of brownian motion which is completely random motion in all directions bouncing off one another and the walls of the container. While in liquid the motion is still random but less energetic and is confined to sliding over one layer after the other.
