If Nitrogen-14 absorbs an alpha particle and then emits a Hydrogen-1, what is the resulting nucleus?

    If the nitrogen 14 has an amount of 7 protons, where it will absorb an alpha particle, it will now produce and have a total amount of 9 protons. After that, it will undergo and emits hydrogen 1, giving the amount of the protons as 8. An 8 protons is considered to be an oxygen nucleus. So, the resulting nucleus of the following is the oxygen nucleus.
