An electron in a hydrogen atom moves from level 1 to level 4. The electron then drops from level 4 to level 2. Which statement describes the most likely result?

    It would be B. In the first move energy was absorbed, because when energy is gained an electron moves to a higher energy level. In the second move energy was released because that is how an atom moves to a lower energy level. The jump from level 1 to 4 was bigger than the drop from 4 to 2, because in the first move it moved from more orbitals.
