    0.026 moles

    Explanation:

    We are given;

    Volume of the gas, V as 3.0 liters Partial pressure of the gas is 21.1 kilo-pascals or 0.208 atm Temperature is 295 K

    We are required to calculate the number of moles of Oxygen

    We are going to use the ideal gas equation; According to the ideal gas equation, PV = nRT, where n is the number of moles, R is the ideal gas constant 0.082057 L atm/mol. K Rearranging the formula;

    n = PV : RT

    = (0.208 atm * 3.0 L) : (0.082057 * 295 K)

    = 0.0258 moles

    = 0.026 moles

    Thus, the number of moles of oxygen is 0.026 moles
