Why will heat travel faster in solids than in liquids

    Solids are compact and the atoms have less space to move around than in the liquid, which causes the solids atoms to rub against each other and cause friction causing them to heat up faster. In liquid the atoms float around and since they float around it takes a long time to get those atoms bouncing around and heating up,

    Because there are more heat in liquids then solids
