93 mL of water has a given mass of 93 g. which object was more accurate in determining volume, the graduated cylinder or the beaker? why?

    The graduated cylinder gives the more precise measurement of volume.

    The smallest division on a graduated cylinder is 1 mL. You could probably estimate to half of the smallest division, so your volume reading would be 93.0 mL ± 0.5 mL.

    The smallest division on a beaker is 10 mL. You could probably estimate to half of the smallest division, so your volume reading would be 90 mL ± 5 mL.

    The graduated cylinder is more precise because you get more decimal places in your measurement.

    The accuracy of the measurement, however, depends on you.
