Is the energy emitted by an electron as it hops down from the 5th to the 3rd energy level the same as the amount of energy when an electron hops down from the 4th to the 2nd energy level?

    because it will need more energy to move from 5th to 3rd than 4th to 2nd since it is closer to the nucleus
