    Mole fraction ethanol = 0.175

    Explanation:

Mole fraction ethanol = Moles of ethanol / Total moles

Total moles = moles of ethanol + moles of water.

    Moles of ethanol → 29.2 g. 1 mol / 46 g = 0.635 moles

    Moles of water → 53.6 g. 1 mol / 18 g = 2.98 moles

    Total moles → 0.635 mol + 2.98 mol = 3.615 moles

    Mole fraction ethanol = 0.635 / 3.615 = 0.175
