    Sulfuric acid and nitric acid are both strong acids. But when they react with each other, the nitric acid acts as a Bronsted-Lowry base because it accepts a hydrogen ion from sulfuric acid. The complete ionic equation is:

    H₂SO₄ (aq) + HNO₃ (aq) → NO₂⁺ (aq) + H₂O (l) + HSO₄⁻ (aq)

    Since there is no precipitate, there is no reaction.
