    Some of the properties of the mechanical waves are:

    1) The frequency of a wave equals the frequency of the vibrating source which is producing the wave.

    2) Increasing the frequency of a wave decreases its wavelength.

    3) The speed of a wave is equal to the wavelength multiplied by frequency.
