    The volume of balloon is 4.92 L

    Calculation

    The volume of balloon is calculated using Boyle's law formula

    that is P1V1 = P2V2

    where P1 = 0.97 atm

    V1 = 3.1 L

    P2 = 0.61 atm

    V2=? L

    by making the V2 the subject of the formula.

    that is by dividing both side with P2

    V2 = P1V1/P2

    v2=[ (0.97 atm x 3.1 L) / 0.61 atm] = 4.93 L
