The krebs cycle is also known by the name of citric acid cycle that are present in almost all aerobic organisms. This cycle includes the sequential biochemical steps for the generation of ATP from the stored energy.

The citric acid cycle results in the production of ATP, FADH₂ and NADH. During the oxidation of glucose, the kreb cycle undergoes two rounds for the complete glucose oxidation. Total 6 NADH, 2ATP and 2 FADH₂ is produced during the glucose oxidation.
