    D. Water

    Explanation:

In nature, oxidation of iron in the presence of moisture in the air that is water droplets present in the air produces rust. Metal like iron in presence of water produces iron oxide, that is rust occurs naturally through the oxidation and reduction occurs simultaneously, that iron gets oxidized and water gets reduced. The metal iron gets deteriorate by means of water or the moisture present in the atmosphere there by producing oxide of iron which is called as rust.
