An endothermic is just a process that involves absorbing heat and brings about cooling the surroundings while An exothermic process releases heat, causing the temperature of the immediate surroundings to rise.

If something is exothermic, it gives off energy. On the other hand, if something is endothermic, it absorbs energy.
