A green solution of a pH indicator was added to a sample of spring water. The resulting solution was yellow. Was the observed change due to a physical or a chemical change

    Explanation:

    Color changes in chemical compounds are as a result of chemical reactions between the two reactant, and in this case a new reactant is been formed.

    which eventually changes the color to yellow.

    Indicators like Leucomalachite green do changes from green (base) to yellow (acidic).

    So for a new product to be formed which is of different color and chemical properties, the observation change is definitely a chemical change
