    X is an electron and Y is a proton.

    Explanation:

    The particle X caries negative charge it means it have one extra electron.

    When number of electrons becomes greater than protons particle have negative charge and

    Particle Y attract particle X it means Y has positive charge because opposite charges attract each other and it must be a proton because proton has positive charge while neutron is neutral.

    Symbol and charge of proton = P+

    Symbol and charge of neutron = n0

    Mass of proton=1.672623*10-27 Kg

    Mass of neutron=1.674929*10-27 Kg

    Symbol and charge on electron = e-

    Mass = 9.10938356*10-31 Kg
