What is the difference between Easterlies and Westerlies?

    If the winds move from east to the west they are called easterlies and when the winds move from west to east they are called westerlies.

    Global Winds: Trade Winds, Westerlies and Polar Easterlies. When air moves in a definite direction, it is called wind. If the winds move from west to east, they are called westerlies. If they move from east to west, they are called easterlies.
